We went into The Henryton by way of the train tracks today. The walk was long, hot, and a wee bit sticky. On the way in we realized we forgot to bring water. Wonderful. And on the way out we realized I (Kat) may have forgotten my iPhone on the roof of our car. Ugh!
Tony said it wouldn't be there when we got back but I thought there was a possibilty there are still some good people in this world.
When we got back to our car we found this. My iPhone wrapped in napkins which were weighted down with rocks so people wouldn't see it and want to steal it.
I don't know who you are but thank you. From the bottom of my heart... You did a really nice thing for a stranger and it's not unappreciated. Pay it forward starts today (again, of course).
We're heading out of Mass. But not before stopping for lunch. It seems like the drive is taking an eternity today. I was thinking about the lunar cycle. Looks like it's a near no-moon situation today. I wonder if that will effect our investigation at all.
It's official, the Maine Ghost Hunters are on the road to Maryland. Henryton Sanitorium has a story and we're stoked to be a part of the team that gets to tell it. Investigation groups and teams from all over the country are coming together to deliver the message The Henryton has been disallowed to tell for too long.
Yeah, we're on a mission... A mission to deliver the message. They've waited long enough.

Picked up a book today, to help me understand how to handle different lighting situations. My lovely husband has informed me he now takes better pictures than I do. Pff. To that... I can only say, "Y'okay, if that's what gets y'thru the day". :)
I just had a thought. What's the difference between a hobbyist and an enthusiast?
I've been feeling not-so-good for a miserable couple of weeks now, and yesterday I was hit hard with a somewhat mild case of the flu. I say "hit hard" because when you're down and out for a couple of weeks even the smallest thing can wipe you out completely. Yesterday was one of those days. One minute I was in the car on our way to get groceries so I could make a nice big dinner, and literally 10 minutes down the road I was nauseas, reclined, dizzy, and all-but well. I wound up sleeping most of the day and all night. Still, this morning, I'm feeling slightly ...blah... But this rite here? Cranberry Squash Bisque? Oh.... My gosh... I'm feeling so much better. I just hope I don't regret this later on. Thinking positive... Thinking positive...
Clothes shopping. Why can't I live in the fashion world of Logans Run.. Why??
This morning has been one less-than-planned moment after another. I guess it's ok, since we don't gave any plans other than this... Getting the hubby's hair cut... Driving around gives us both time to think, and ocassionally "talk". ;) We ate breakfast at a favorite organic spot, drove around in search of inspiring locations to snap a few pictures before the big storm hits, and made this scheduled stop here at the hair place. There's a few places I go to great lengths to avoid and the hair salon makes the list, somewhere up at the top next to others that make it seem out of place. Honestly speaking, I hate it when they ask questions - which sounds stupid, I know, but I can't help it, I don't like it. I never go in for a complete overhaul, just trim it and be done. But no, I gotta get into detail about the front, the sides, the back... Dear lord, I'm not a supermodel. My hair isn't rocket science, just trim it, charge me, and lemme go home. ;) what can I say, I'm easy like that.
Wow, he was done in less than 15 minutes! That's a rarity! Yay!
When my Jeep window looks like this I expect there to be a good reason involving warm weather and flowering things... And bees... And birds... And stuff... ! =:P
For some reason my moblogs with photo attachments aren't being uploaded properly! Ugh!!
