What a bag...
You probably didn't know this, it's not something I talk about mostly due to the shame involved. I was born with a disability. I'm quite certain it's not a generic disability because my mom functions very well in this particular area. No, my disability is a clear and undeniable inability to "wrap" gifts. I don't know what it is, I just can't do it right. In my more aged years I've decided to stop trying to meet societal expectations of presenting perfectly wrapped gifts at hitting events such as birthday parties and Christmas gatherings. I can write with both hands (I'd like to thank the nuns at St. Augustine's for that special talent) but I can't, for the life of me, properly wrap a gift.
So, naturally, my most favorite aisle during Christmas shopping season is, in fact, the gift bag aisle. I'd rather spend $20 dollars on bags than suffer the frustration of fighting nature (my nature with this one) when trying to wrap presents.
I like big flashy bows, too, but that's a whole other posting which could easily be titled "I like shiny things..." but anyway, I thought I'd share. Yayyyyy for gift bags! :)
This picture was taken whilst RocketBoy and dad are arguing about which bags to put in the cart. It was going a little like this:
RB: "let's get the Hannah Montana bag"
Dad: "uh, no..."
RB: "ok, fine, the High School Musical bag, and it's bigger too, so..."
Dad: (intent stare at RocketBoy)
And the debate wages on... Ahahaha :)
