Today, I write...
I've been thinking about my Vox blog for a while now, but I've rarely been afforded the time to actually get on here and put something down in the way I wanted. Well, today... I write. No bones about it, today I have the time and today I'm doing it. <--- notice my "resolve", and, notice that I'm here... writing. (My writing lacks substance, I realize this, however, at least I have follow-through. That has to count for something, doesn't it?)
Ok, so "where am I" today... Where am I in terms of... personal space and my connection to the world. It's all very deep, and delicate so I'll spare you the inner philosophies I'm carrying and post this video instead. It's total "nostalgia" and I make no apologies for it. Boy bands, pop groups, whatever, I could care less. When I was a kid the NKOTB were "d'$hit" were they not? 1990 wasn't so long ago. I spent summers cruising the town with my friends, hanging out at the local ice cream shop, traveling with sports teams, and just... being a teen, y'know? You ever get those days where the smell of freshly rained-on tar brings you back to high school? A hot day when the air is hot and there's not a breeze in sight... brings me back deserted beaches and fishing a pond with a tiny hole in the boat. Heck, we didn't care, we could pump water back into the pond all day long so long we weren't stuck inside with nothing to do. Man... those were the days.
