"when people attack without being attacked
that reeks of fear
fear that
ultimately they will be found out."
me.
when ya wanna sing loud!!!!
This
has been a week where the multi-verse has been constantly tapping me on the
shoulder with reminders.
I
think this particular reminder behooves us all, and is "oh so
valuable".
A friend shared this story with me
today.
I am going to share it with you all.
Maybe each of us can find a gentle nudging that reminds us to
speak more gently...
less"reacting", and maybe listen a little
more gently too.
Sometimes people challenge us. I
figure that's a good thing.
How we respond is
everything. How we respond is our lesson.
The Story as told to
me.......
It was pointed out to me that
often when client would challenge my sale figures or sales pitch my
voice would become raised... It happened subconsciously because I was
allowing the client to frazzle me...
I was using emotion, in this case getting frazzled, as a mechanism to cover up the real fact that I had no susbstantial counter argument..
Jefferson was in a discussion with a collegue who was on the cusp of yelling when Jefferson challenged his argument...Jefferson calmly responded to this by simply stating "there is no need to raise your voice, simply reinforce your argument.
So like I've always been taught pick your battles.
I've also learned to pick my words wisely.
I wish others would learn to do the same.
thnx friend.
...to say, contradictory even.
I've heard people complain before about not having any privacy and yet they write publicly.
I get that.
You want someone to hear you, or maybe you just want to hear yourself. And somewhere in this world of blogging you find your voice amidst 324567654321 others, and it doesn't seem so loud because there are so many other voices.
Maybe
here is the place I can say out loud the things I want to say there but
cannot say there because what I say affects people I know and they know
me.
Here, I only know two, that I trust.
Anonymity has its perks.
And well you know the saying, if you don't like what's on tv change the channel. Same thing applies here.
I'm going to try writing public for a change.
Yeh its a funny thing to want privacy in a public place.
